North IdahoHealth Cup

Jan 4 – Feb 28, 2027

How it works

Companies across North Idaho compete for eight weeks on one thing: how consistently their people show up for their health.

How the Cup works 1:19
  1. Enter your company

Any size, any industry. One price by size, and every employee can join at no extra cost.

  2. Pick your cause

Choose one of the partner nonprofits to play for, and name a team captain.

  3. Show up for eight weeks

People log their activity in the Movra app, at no cost to them. Your score is the average number of active days per person each week.

  4. Finish together

Final standings on March 1, then the finale, where the checks go to local causes.

What counts

Showing up, not how hard you train

A day counts when you log a workout, log a meal, set a personal best or hit your daily plan. One per day. Steps and sleep from your phone never count, so that data stays yours.

A 10-second meal log counts the same as an hour at the gym, so everyone can take part, including people who can't exercise right now.

  • Log a workout
  • Log a meal
  • Set a personal best
  • Hit your daily plan

The app

See it in the app

Everyone plays in the Movra app, at no cost to them. Here’s what they’ll see.

Scoring

Fair at every size

  • Per person, not totals

Your company’s score is the average number of active days per person each week. Seven is the most anyone can have.

  • Fair at every size

Every company plays for the same Cup, and the scoring keeps small teams on equal footing with big ones. Your size sets only your price. Bigger employers enter by department or location.

  • Standings every Monday

Every Monday the standings post and a Company of the Week is named, so no team is ever out of it.

  • Late joiners count

Anyone who joins after Jan 4 counts from the week they join. A company that enters late is scored from its first week.

Private by design

Your company sees the team's score and how many people took part, never anyone's health information. Joining is each employee's choice.

For your team

What employees ask

These answers are also in the captain's kit, word for word.

Do my steps count?
No, on purpose. Step and sleep data from your phone never goes toward the Cup, so it never gets near your employer.
Does my boss see what I do?
No. Your company sees how many people joined and took part, never names or activity. Other companies see your company’s score. You’re only ever named if you choose to be.
Do I have to take part?
No. It’s voluntary, and nothing about your job, pay or benefits depends on it.
How much time does it take?
About a minute a day to log something.
I can’t exercise right now.
Logging a meal counts the same as a workout.
What does it cost me?
Nothing. Your company entered the team.
I joined late. Does it still help?
Yes. You count from the week you join.
Is this a study?
No. It’s a community challenge. The app isn’t a medical service.
Who runs it?
The North Idaho Health Cup, with local partners. The app is powered by Movra, a Coeur d’Alene company.
Can my family join?
Families are welcome at Kickoff Day, the Saturday workouts and the finale. Only employees count toward the company’s score.
Where do I get help?
Email hello@northidahohealthcup.com. Please don’t send health details to your captain or employer.
